Derby Speaks Up to #AccelerateAction on Misogyny & Safer Relationships

Join us: Friday 7th March 11am-2.45pm as part of the International Women’s Day Derby Festival programme, at Derby West Indian Community Association Centre, with options for people to attend the morning and/or afternoon sessions according to availability.

At this event, we will screen animated videos amplifying local voices on experiences of misogyny and what needs to change in local services. We shall reflect on learnings from current domestic abuse perpetrator programmes and explore proposals to expand the offering to reach people at the earliest opportunity, before things escalate to an emergency situation. We will also present a film featuring interviews and a vox pop plus local survey results – add your views to the survey at:  https://derbyspeaksup.org.uk/survey

Roundtable discussions will bring together local agencies, charities, survivors, campaigners, researchers, journalists and the community to pool insights and ideas, plus action panels and a follow-up event to review and build on progress.
